Things I like: God, my friends and family, permaculture, booja booja ice cream, running, good chocolate, Late Junction, cycling, flowers (especially frangipani), sustainable design, bright colours, reading, tramping, raw food, hugs, sailing (beware all those out on the water, I am now certified to sail a Dinghy!), exploring new cities, gardening, sea kayaking, experimenting with odd recipes, thinking, trying out new things, salsa (dancing that is), organic stuff, Scapa whiskey, the sea, community mindedness, my 70s Bernina sewing machine, supermarkets (especially organic ones), random adventures and wacky ideas.
Other things I'm doing or have done: I went on a strawbale building course in 2008 after taking an open studies course in sustainable architecture in 2007. I was formerly on the committee of a community group called The Foodchain, which was trying to set up a community supported agriculture project in Edinburgh to encourage organic gardening by bridging the link between a local grower and a community of eaters. I was on a committee that organised a charity run in Edinburgh, Run for Relief to raise awareness for the people of Burma suffering under an oppressive military regime.
